RICHLAND, WASHINGTON, USA Winner of a national design-build competition, KMD Architects' design combines the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory's Biological Sciences Facility and Computational Sciences Facility. The Battelle Foundation operates the laboratory for the U.S. Department of Energy.
