Since joining the firm in 1983, Verns tenure at KMD Justice has been recognized by his high level of expertise and system experience in programming and planning award-winning justice facilities provides a unique value to his clients. Vern has been the Managing Director of the Portland Regional Office since 1989 and has served as Executive Planner on all of that offices corrections, detention and court projects, as well as the majority of justice design and master planning projects firmwide. He has particular expertise in nationwide and local corrections building codes and standards, with pronounced speciality in juvenile justice facilities.
