MEXICO CITY, MEXICO  KMD’s design concept for Revlon cosmetics’ headquarters in the south of Mexico City is based on the company’s circular grid of lipstick colors. A lipstick red accent wall carrying the Revlon logo invites visitors in through the adjacent entry glass doors etched with the circle design. The carpet consists of a grid of various sized circles in a field of gray with magenta and purple accents; the circular motif is carried throughout the office by the use of frosted and etched glass which reflects the light and gives motion to the space. The white and dark gray walls serve as a neutral background for the company’s colorful product displays. Wall murals of models are further enhanced by adjoining and nearby glass etched panels. The Revlon Red color is used on the ceiling and chairs of the dining area, with neutral and glass walls that can be used for large format advertising graphics.

Flexibility is inherent in the 120-degree layout of the workstations and in the  modular meeting rooms which can be arranged depending on the number of occupants, maximizing the use of space and providing acoustic barriers. KMD researched and specified all materials, systems, lighting, carpet and furniture to provide the highest degree of sustainability for Revlon’s environmentally responsible goals.
