Brigham and Womens Hospital Master Plan
Beginning in 1984, KMD worked with Brigham and Womens in the organization, development, phased renovation and expansion of the teaching facility. In 1999, KMD was again retained to update Brighams site and facilities Master Plan to study the phased replacement of 300 beds in a new Specialty Hospital pavilion and a new 300,000 SF Center for Advanced Ambulatory Care. The master planning process integrated business strategic planning with facilities strategic planning. It employed computer simulation to evaluate options for facilities development and business strategies under a selected range of possible market scenarios.
