SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA The first of its kind in Seoul, CHA Kangnam Birthing and Maternity is a 25,000 m2, 16 story mixed-use project geared towards assisting mothers throughout the birthing process. With healthcare facilities, a 95 key maternity hotel, and commercial elements, CHA Health System’s goal is to make 5,000 deliveries per year on site. The facility prepares mothers for childbirth, then assists them with delivery and recuperation. Features include 10 labor delivery recovery rooms, three labor and delivery rooms, 40 NICU bassinets, 60 nursery bassinets, and 40 private beds for mothers. Acute care facilities include seven outpatient exam rooms and an Imaging Center with eight ultrasound machines plus x-ray capabilities.
