KMD Architects is excited to announce Roberto Velasco as our newly elected Chairman of the Board. Roberto currently serves as Latin America Director and manages KMD’s Mexico City office, and he will continue to provide his valued leadership in these capacities. He will succeed Rob Matthew as the Chairman of the Board of KMD Architects. Rob recently retired from KMD. We are also pleased to announce that Mr. Matthew will continue to be an active part of the firm’s Board of Directors.

Roberto brings his life’s experience as an architect, urban designer, builder, and developer. He has a master’s degree in urban and regional planning from the London School of Economics and a bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Urbanism, as well as an Academic Diploma in Applied Economics.

KMD has practiced architecture, planning and design services across the globe throughout many years and we believe that Roberto’s contribution to the firm leadership represents our commitment to a truly global practice. We believe Roberto is well suited to represent KMD worldwide in his new role.
