Yonsei University Cancer Center Hospital

900,000 SF | Cancer Center | DT Facilities | Teaching Hospital | Surgery | Completed 2014

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA  KMD Architects master planned, programmed and designed a new 15-story, 600-Bed Cancer Center Hospital, connected to the larger, 1400-Bed Severance University Hospital. The new pavilion has 600 beds and a full panoply of inpatient and outpatient services. Completed in 2014, the building also serves as the campus gateway for subway patrons arriving at ground level. Pedestrians pass through a series of welcoming, landscaped courtyards before entering and rising three levels to the upper level lobby and the heart of the campus. The Cancer Center is an integral part of the visitor experience to the Yonsei Medical Center, founded by Episcopalian missionaries in 1904. (In association with Dongwoo Architects)
